Uma Thurman & Lachapelle for Schweppes

David LaChapelle & Uma Thurman teamed up for the new Schweppes advertising (Signed Fred & Farid Paris). I must say I am a huge huge huge fan of Uma Thurman ! I just watch on of her latest movie a few days ago called Celebration... The story was kind of random : The usual Love story " she is older, he is young and handsome , they are in love , but she is about to marry a older wealthy dude ..." But Miss Thurman and her amazing skills turned this boring story into a good movie and I had a really good time ! Of course she is so inspirational to me because of her style , her grace and also her infinite culture ... but most and foremost because she plays wonderfully in my favorite movie of ALL TIMES : Les Liaisons dangereuses or Dangerous Liaisons (1988) directed by stephen Frears and also starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer.
It is the story of the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, two rivals (and ex-lovers) who use sex as a weapon to humiliate and degrade others, all the while enjoying their cruel games. A MUST WATCH ! and above all A MUST READ ~ !

Marc Jacobs Plays Dress Up With Prada’s Fall 2011 Collection in Industrie

Katie Grand styled Marc Jacobs for a spread in the latest issue of Industrie magazine called “Prada, I’m your biggest fan: Marc Jacobs comes out as a Miuccia maniac.” The 10-page spread, Industrie's second in which Marc dresses up in womens clothing, shows the designer dressed in various head-to-toe looks from Prada's Fall 2011 collection. Marc, clearly a voracious Prada fan, was shot by Manuela Pavesi, Micciua’s best friend. Quoted in the spread is Miuccia herself: “Of course I like Marc dressing in Prada very much. I think he is very brave and, most important of all, he looks completely acceptable and elegant. He has a real spirit and I like his work.”

We love you ... but why did you have to transform your bodies that much !

Thierry Mugler used to be a cool guy ...

Today , you shouldn't mess up with him !

Today Karl enjoys Magnum Ice-creams... or to take care of his muse Baptiste while he is holding his"Ice-cream"... But Unkle Karl should remember how long it took him to get rid off those extra kilos !

In 2001 , Karl Lagerfeld dropped 92 pounds in 13 months. Never one to miss a lucrative opportunity, Lagerfeld, who has designed for Chanel since 1983, codified his diet secrets in book form. Since its 2004 publication, The Karl Lagerfeld Diet has sold nearly 200,000 copies in Europe and Asia. It has to be a sort of punishment," the German-born Lagerfeld tells Ingrid Sischy in a prefatory interview. A dieter, he tells her, must submit to his own martial law: "You are a general and you have a single soldier in your army. You must give him instructions and he must carry them out. It may annoy him but he has no choice." Isn't it a bit extreme... ???

Marc used to be a bit over-weighted...
Today Marc is hot and proud of his body ! He loves to show off his tattoo and We are so happy that he loves to do so ! I remember melting in the lobby when I was working at Louis Vuitton headquarter in Paris ! The few times I met Marc I just couldn't take my eyes off of his good figures ! but still... we liked the old Marc too !
MJ secret is here ! Look at this video from a documentary about Louis Vuitton by Loic Prigent :

I personally think I will keep on supporting the Mulleavy sisters! I must say I love these girls. They are talented beyond belief: at least two people who can do more then design leggings and t-shirts. I just can't believe what Vogue did back in April an article about the Rodarte designers asking them to LOOSE WEIGHT! It wasn’t their idea! Vogue has often chronicled staff members battle with weight (hmmmm….Andre Leon Talley). However this is the first time they have gone beyond their inner-circle. And now many are saying they stepped over the line when they called out the Mulleavy sisters as ‘fat slobs.’

Anyways ... Weight is a complicated and tricky topic in the fashion industry and I still believe anyone should be able to make their own decisions ... but just think they shouldn't forget who they are and what brought them to their first passion : design... !

Designers & Their Musical Muses Pose For W

In case you couldn't tell by the covers, W magazine's July issue is all about music and of course, fashion.

To play up their theme du mois, the mag rounded up some name designers and asked them to dish on their musical muses, some of which are kinda surprising.

Here are some HIGHlights from the spread:

Gucci creative director Frida Giannini on Florence Welch:
"I was captivated by her eccentric style and her willingness to dare. She embodies the cinematic allure and seductive power that is its essence."

Burberry's Christoper Bailey on George Craig:
"For me, George embodies the modern British look."

Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa on Esperanza Spalding:
"I admire her passion and confidence— she is truly a free spirit."

Our Dear Karl Lagerfeld on Janelle Monae:
"We liked each other from the first second on. Not just because of our style, but also the name: Janelle rhymes with Chanel, no?”

Donatella Versace on M.I.A:
"Her music and style seemed so fresh and innovative. She is a total artist."
