New Technology May Help Women Grow Their Own Breasts

This sounds crazy, but just hear us out.
Scientists have been making headway in a field called tissue engineering, which could revolutionize the way we rebuild damaged organs, including breasts.

“It’s the first practical cell therapy,” says Chris Calhoun, CEO of San Diego-based biotech company Cytori Therapeutics. “And it’s breasts.”

What he means by that is that women who fall victim to breast cancer and have to have severe and disfiguring breast surgery will be able to simply grow a new pair with materials taken from their own body fat. This can also apply to women who simply want a new pair of breasts for purely cosmetic reasons.

A big reason this is so great is because only 25% of women who lose a breast to cancer get a new one, and this could change that.
This is crazy awesome and will do so many wonderful things for women who need breast implants!
