Wedding Glamour: Kate Moss In John Galliano

"I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife."
-Author Unknown

Supermodel and fashion icon Kate Moss looked just as beautiful walking down the aisle as she does walking the runway, maybe even more so. The John Galliano wedding gown she donned for her big day was amazing but what was even more beautiful was the look of utter happiness, joy and contentment on Kate's face. Congratulations Mrs.Hitch...

Tisci to Dior, Ackermann to Givenchy, Slimane to YSL

Clearly the only thing anyone in Paris is talking about this week is John Galliano, and who will replace him at Dior.

The latest gossip goes something like this: Riccardo Tisci will indeed replace Galliano at Christian Dior, Haider Ackermann will slip into Tisci’s spot at Givenchy, and despite YSL’s vehement denial otherwise, Hedi Slimane is about to take over for Stefano Pilati. Oh, and yes, Carine Roitfeld is coming along for the ride. What’s more, if Ackermann is out of the running at Chanel, does that mean its Alber Elbaz’s when Karl purportedly retires in 2012?

We’ve heard all of this before, so who knows what will actually happen. But one thing’s for sure, Galliano’s ousting has changed the face of Paris fashion forever

This Morning I woke up with a great idea ... Should I contact Mr. Arnault to replace John at Dior !

John Galliano's dismissal by Christian Dior leaves one of the most prestigious roles in fashion suddenly vacant. The man making the decision about his replacement is Bernard Arnault, the chief executive of LVMH, which owns Dior.

The frontrunner is thought to be the 36-year-old Italian designer Riccardo Tisci, who has won increasing acclaim over the past five years designing Givenchy, another LVMH brand. Tisci is well connected in the Paris fashion world, with close ties to French Vogue.

Were Tisci to land the role, it would be a case of history repeating itself: Galliano was at Givenchy before getting the Dior job.

Nathalie Portman talks about John Galliano ...

The face of Dior's Miss Dior Cherie fragrance said in a statement:

"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful."

FASHION legend John Galliano spouts vile, racist and nazi views...

Just a short reminder : Nathalie Portman (Oscar Winner for the Black Swan) is the face for Miss Dior Cherie and also pround jewish !

Spotted at french bar La Perle in the Marais area / Gay area in Paris :

FASHION guru John Galliano was filmed having a vile racist rant during which he declared: "I love Hitler." and "People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f****** gassed."

After stating he loves Hitler and making the gassing remark, a woman is heard to say, 'Oh my God' before asking slurring Galliano if he had a problem.

He said: "With you. You're ugly." Asked where he was from, he said: "Your a***hole."

Last Thursday Galliano allegedly insulted Geraldine Bloch, 35, and threatened to kill her pal Philippe Virgitti, 41, in La Perle Bar. Ms Bloch told cops he called her a "dirty Jew face".

Galliano has launched legal action against French Ms Bloch and Mr Virgitti, who is of Asian origin, for defamation.

In 2020 about 20% of worldwide luxury market will be Asian : Now we understand why Dior reacted that quickly !

Dior suspends chief designer John Galliano following his arrest for alleged assault Read more: Dior suspends chief designer John Galliano

French police briefly detained British fashion designer John Galliano in Paris on Thursday evening for alleged assault and making anti-Semitic remarks

The detention in Paris’ fashionable Marais district came after Dior’s chief designer allegedly verbally accosted a couple seated on a cafe terrace. Galliano’s lawyer strongly denied accusations of anti-Semitism.

“For the moment we don’t know what led him to address the couple,” the police source said. “We don’t yet know if they knew each other or not.”

Police detained him and he was found to have been drinking alcohol. The designer was released pending charges being filed.

Galliano’s lawyer Stephane Zerbib told AFP the designer “formally denies the accusations of anti-Semitism made against him.”

Galliano “is not at all in this state of mind (and) will explain later,” Zerbib said, adding that “legal action will be taken against those making such accusations.”

Bernard Arnault Prefers John Galliano to Marc Jacobs... And the latter musn't be really happy about that!

Designers are friends no matter what ... ??!!

"I could have asked many other talented designers to do Dior, but it would not have been the same," Arnault told Tatler Asia. "Take Marc Jacobs, he has been a fantastic success at Vuitton and he has a proximity to the Vuitton spirit, but I don't think it would have been a success with Jacobs at Dior and the other way around, if I had asked John [Galliano] to do Vuitton, it would not have worked. An essential ingredient in the success of the brand today is the real proximity of Galliano to the talent of Christian Dior."
Before each collection is shown, Arnault and Galliano meet at the LVMH offices in Paris to discuss the designs. "We meet in this room," says Arnault. "I say, 'John, I think we should do something else.' What you have done is too extravagant. For Dior it's all about the details and John listens." [Tatler Asia]

Fashion is on the crest of a new 'femimen' trend - Andrej Pejic

Who says male models have to be buff and “manly” looking?

Check out the next up and coming model out there, Andrej Pejic, who’s signed to Storm Models since last February.

The 19-year-old Australian has already walked for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith, Raf Simmons, and John Galliano and is quickly becoming a favorite for his unique look.

Says Pejic:
“The photographers seemed to like my look. They talked about the extreme androgyny and commented a lot on how thin I am.

At first everyone thought there must be a blonde girl doing all the men's shows. They asked Raf Simmons if he was doing women's wear now. They figured it out eventually.”

What do U think of Andrej?
