Number one of my MUST BUY list :Tom Ford x Carine Roitfeld Carine Bag
Fashion icon of the last ten years and ex editor of the French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld once again collaborates with the famous Texan designer Tom Ford. They launched for fall-winter 2011-2012 the“Carine” bag. It’s signature hardware is the “shackle” closure, reference to the porno-chic that Tom Ford is the initiator and the hand-stitched leather covered chain. It’s a semi-structured shoulder bag with an internal zip pocket and is offered in a variety of materials, all of them specially developed for Tom Ford, such as shiny alligator, python, goat skin, nappa leather, patent, or suede. The “Carine” is a style that will be continued within the Tom Ford accessories collection and will be reinterpreted and adapted according to the mood of the season

Hermes Kelly Paper Bag
Hermès has jumped on the DIY wagon with it's free downloadable paper Hermès Kelly bag that you can decorate yourself or choose from a variety of designed prints. (To get there, go to the Hermès homepage and click on the thumbnail in the middle that says "i want it, i'll have it!" along with the image of a blank white bag.) If you are particularly crafty, you could use the template to make your own version of the bag in fabric.

Chanel Paris-Shanghai Take Away Bag

Officially known as the Chanel Paris-Shanghai Take Away Bag, it came out last year and retailed for USD7500 a piece. Modeled after the humble Chinese takeout box and made famous after Lady Gaga was snapped carrying one, it sold out soon after.
Thing is, I don’t hate it!nd seeing in twice more in person just made me appreciate how Karl Lagerfeld dares to push the boundaries. I’m just wondering: would it have worked if a brand less famous did the same, or did it work for Chanel because well, it is Chanel?
What do you think?
