Sarah Burton amazes us by capturing the true essence of McQueen

After having a look at the wonderfully amazing runaways from Sarah Burton for McQueen, nobody can deny : She was the perfect choice to take over the reign of King Alexander McQueen.
The best part, in our opinion, were the headpieces. We'd love to see someone brave enough to rock that to a premiere or event!
Each look was like a dream come true , light and disturbing at the same time , a mermaid meet a princess, a villain evil Queen  meets Hi society fashionista...

Congrats to Sarah Burton : a Queen is born !

Chloe Spring 2012 Collection: Clare Waight Keller Makes Her ChloƩ Debut

There were lots of newbie creative directors showing off what they could do during Paris Fashion Week and Clare Waight Keller was one of them.
For her first collection since replacing Hannah MacGibbon at Chloe was rather "safe" according to critics, which was probably a smart move.
Waight Keller also referenced former ChloƩ creative director Karl lagerfeld by incorporating embroidery into the spring collection.

Balmain Spring collection 2012: New Designer, Same Ol' Balmain

Olivier Rousteing unveiled his first collection since taking over the reigns at Balmain earlier this year and we think the 26 year old did a fairly decent job. Ok we are being tough now ! We think he did a brilliant job ! Truth must be told , it looks very similar to what we expected from a Balmain Fashion show , nothing very revolutionary but ... I would wear any single look on the spot...
We like how it was a subtle transition without going in a completely opposite direction. And we're sure one of these pieces will make it's way onto a red carpet before the year's out!
Congrats to Olivier and good luck for your brilliant future !

For next spring Lanvin Gets Sporty

Alber Elbaz was in an experimental mood while designing Lanvin's spring collection.
Joining the usual collection of dresses the designer introduced his version of sportswear which included t-shirts, jogging suits, pencil skirts and blouses.
We found a few pieces that we'd like to see on the red carpet, but the rest is not very exciting.

Do U agree???
