A dress designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel that marked the transformation of the Princess of Wales from a shy society girl to the consort of the future king has sold for £192,000.
In 1981, the then Lady Diana Spencer, who was 19, wore the black taffeta dress to her first official engagement with her fiance, the Prince of Wales.
The dress, which had been expected to sell for £50,000, was bought at auction in London by a fashion museum in Chile.

Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. The top honors went to Marc Jacobs for Womenswear Designer of the Year, presented by Jessica Biel. The award for Menswear Designer of the Year was presented by Anthony Mackie to David Neville & Marcus Wainwright for Rag & Bone. Alexis Bittar took home the Accessory Designer of the Year Award, presented by Dakota Fanning. For the ninth year in a row, the evening was generously underwritten by Swarovski.

Most comments were: It's deja vu, Madonna has done it before, Nothing groundbreaking here, Gaga is a product of Madonna. The song is a mix of Isla Bonita and Ace of Base so I'm not amazed....
We don't agree and won't listen to those silly comments...

Since Alexander McQueen's death on 11 February this year, everyone has been speculating... Who would be his successor?Sarah Burton will take over the creative director position at Alexander McQueen.
We definitely think it's the best choice ever as she as been working closely with Lee Mcqueen for 14 years. She has the understanding of his vision and we hope and think she will do a good job...
